What's at Stake?

The measly beginnings of my astral states began in 2001 just as I was overcoming a mild addiction to alcohol. In my misery brought on by the events of 9/11 itself, I began to see my world differently. I started thinking differently, and acting differently and even behaving in ways that were completely new to me. In the wake that followed, I began to meditate. Through studying a great deal of Buddhist thought and philosophy along with a multitude of others, I was lead down a distinct path. The path was lit, however not very well. For a Westerner, with no prior knowledge of the differences in the East, to stumble upon these ideas, was a real awakening in itself. I used this momentum to conceive of my own path, whereby the frequencies of my imagination created a fabric of reality completely different in character to that of anything I could possibly compare it to.

This was an awakening quite different from my previous experiences where I fell upon certain distinct moments of clerity. Such cases include moments of enlightenment, eureka moments, and insightful observations leading toward the understanding of perpetual evolution. The idea is to understand or grasp the scope of human potential. Here in the West, we have completely lost touch with this notion, but you can regain the knowledge of yourself, without the need for your culture, whatever that may be. To educate you on these matters, we simply need to understand that our overt existence in this outer world is but a reflection of our own internal mental states. These states are what I’m referring to when I say Astral.

I view the universe as one singular mind field of quantum consciousness. Consciousness itself is the core underlying component to the makeup of our natural universe. It’s not that matter is the primary component like we’ve been mislead into believing. The Astral States, which we all own in distinctly individual ways, are the only map we need to find our original essence and understanding of our final destination. Nature has provided us with an evolving machine that self replicates! Plainly amazing to me, but most people can’t approach these newer concepts of the obviousness that perfect resonant harmonics exist in the biological world, but …what we’ve lacked to see is that the very fabric of reality; the underlying chaotic spectrum of the quantum world, is in direct communication with the biological “device” being considered.

When discussing issues of nature, we must be able to see the natural frequencies involved at every level of reality. These are the fine energies of the quantum world and the coarse vibrations of the material universe. They contribute to the whole system functioning simultaneously as a cohesive object despite the appearance that we have different parts, segments, and organs. These are not what make up a person. A person is a continuous energy being acting as the zero point focus where the immaterial realm of thoughts, feelings, and emotions come together with the world of matter, inertia, and momentum.

By neglecting our astral component, we begin a descent from total union with the creative source of all things. The fall brings with it notions of separateness, which breeds division, fear, and all the rest that our current world needs ridding of. There must be a general understanding of the connectedness we all have through these astral dimensions, and we must all learn to tolerate those that don’t vibrate in harmonious ways with us. The biggest illusion we face in our day to day lives is the illusion of disconnectedness and subsequent descent into the selfish ego and desire based reality of the Capitalistic Consumer Materialist.

Prior to my initiation into the astral states and dimensions, I was myself a CCM. Only after years of meditating and raising my general vibrations, did I even begin to fluff off the murky layers of socially induced being. It took meditation to reveal to myself who I was, and what I was capable of. If everyone could understand and discover the nature of the self, we would be increasing the potential of our existence in this world, and if you just look around at our global condition, you too would see the need for drastic and immediate changes in the way the average person defines his or her being.

There are great strides before the human community, and no longer is it appropriate to view imaginary lines of separation between countries, continents, and race. We live in a global community now, and in order for a better operational dynamic to evolve, the minds of the people must change. This is the requirement to save us from our dreadfully alternative possibility of self extinction. It would be a first in Earth’s history, but time may be running out.

Meditation Guide: My Intorductory Steps

This section scratches the surface on some meditation techniques I have utilized in my own progression. These may not work for you, but they did for me, so I view then as important additions to the field of deep meditation, without the fluff of a religious framework or other belief structures that most likely just get in the way to begin with. These suggestions should be used to learn how to get lost in the fabric of your mind. Once this is accomplished, the sky is the limit, and only you know how to navigate your own consciousness anyway.

My Master Meditative Goal:

This involves the idea of mind awake, body asleep syndrome described precisely by Robert Monroe. In this state your mind is allowed to drift and exist in a space quite different from your ordinary waking state consciousness. The idea is to walk the tight-rope between awake and asleep.

So the first step in my own practices is to get comfortable, and close your eyes. The only point of focus you should have at first is that of your body awareness. Feel your body wherever it is, and relax every muscle. Once you get really good at this first relaxation phase, you should naturally feel that your body doesn’t exist anymore. It seems to disappear from your perception, signaling to you that your body is almost asleep. Once there, it is time for the next phase.

This part is utilized to focus the mind, and stopping the chatter of endless incoherent thoughts that you experienced in the first phase. The best way for me to start this phase is to open my eyes, but remaining to keep my body as still and unmoving as possible. Only open your eyes for a quick moment, maybe a second or two. Your goal here is to reconnect to your eyes scope of awareness. Test your peripheral vision, and the edges of what you can see, then close your eyes again while still focusing on that edge of periphery. Try to sense it all at once.

To enhance this experience may I suggest these exercises that I refer to as “eye-stretches.”

1) Try to focus the lenses of your eyes to a point in space that you perceive to be very far from you. Do this with eyes closed, and really force it, feel the difference but for a small amount of time, maybe 10 to 30 seconds depending on your own judgments.

2) Now do the opposite: Focus your eyes to a point right in front of you, still eyes closed, but feel your eyes focus changing from far away to close. Stretch your perception back and forth as many times as necessary for you to get a good feel of the outer reaches of your field of view. I go back and forth between 3 and 5 times before I move on to step 3.

3) Now that your eyes have been stretched, you really have to be focused from here on out. Your mind will start throwing images and thoughts to you, but just let them pass. I suggest you try is this. Watch your field of vision, and take note of any contrast between light and dark that you see warping past your eyes. I myself feel and sense spots that are darker, and spots that are lighter in contrast. As I start to notice these small variations, more and more complex structures appear to me. Colors come into play, and flashes of extremely detailed pictures fly by. Don’t be surprised if you get sudden bursts of light, or start to hear voices, it’s all normal. Get rid of your fear, and enjoy the experience. Relax into any anxiety that may bubble up, and remember to not fall asleep. Falling asleep at this stage voids all the hard work you’ve already put into this.

Most importantly, focus on the space between your thoughts, and attempt to “be” in a state outside of rational thought and logic. Only by going beyond what we know as reason, can the mind experience the singularity of reality, where all notions of opposites dissolve away.

We can always utilize the breath as a mental focus, and then our perception of sound can begin to change. At a certain point, don’t be surprised if you hear your heart beat or blood flowing around your head. Sometimes the blood flowing is enough to wake me up from my focused state. Beyond that, we can all learn to develop a sense of sight in the otherworldly realms. We encounter many spheres of energy, and everyone must go at their own pace. Only experience can guide us here, and rushing things will only slow you down. Rid yourself of purpose, and thought, and just flow with the current of the conscious cosmos at large.

I hope this has at least inspired some individuals to take up the serious task of meditation, and relaxing the mind. Your life will start to change with practice, and continued efforts.

Hello and Welcome

The Astral Side makes it's move to c0-exist in reality and evolve in step with what was once only a thought. To develop a history of my own unique journeys into the realms of dreams, thoughts, visions, and meditations, the sensations of an alternate plane will impinge understanding on levels that dwarf the ways of reason and logic. These spheres of energy, that exist in a more mysterious region, are very real. It's here all the time, but is overlooked as meaningless to most people. I fear this world is slipping from our grasps, and as a human with a knowledge different than the mainstream, I hope to offer it suggestions, or nudges, if you will, which can imbue you with an upper hand against the chaos that surrounds us.

As a practitioner of meditation for close to 7 years, I hope to display an understanding of subject matter to both the beginner and expert student. We're all students and everyone can gleam some kind of understanding from everyone else. I welcome comments from fans or foe, and we must all learn that rightness, and wrongness are constructs of a divided mind. Relativity is something Einstein proved, yet so many people neglect to witness to it's relevance in the worldly day to day affairs of humans. Mass and Energy are one thing, and aren't we simply that in a little box. We are condensed energy fields in harmony with the music of the universe. DNA is proving to be the “Sheet Music of our Souls”(footnote #1 added sooner than later, stay tuned), There is no division at a fundamental level. Physicists are telling us this all the time, and it's going to be difficult, but there's a big leap in thought, and conceptualization coming soon that's going to disrupt the normal flow we're all so used to.

As a global civilization we're long overdue for a paradigm shift! It will happen in an instant, I tell you, before you had any chance to stop it. We don’t want to stop it, and it’s probably already occurred at a base level. Either way, when you combine the Global Community, instant communication, information coming in from all angles running the gamete of all known knowledge, you have a gateway into a new universe. The old rules fall away. By shedding away the old landscape of perception, meaning, and purpose, we’re free to redefine our lives in drastically varying ways.

The terrain of the mind and the dimensional qualities beyond description related to consciousness is the general scope of this blog. Revelations, Epiphanies, and Eureka moments abound in my life, and helping others to navigate this hostel universe seems to be a mission of mine. I’m not sure how I fell into this stewardship, but some would tell me that I signed a contract and my soul is now somewhat destined to act out the life I signed up for. I have little difficulty seeing anything wrong believing such a thing, especially as I’ve aged a little(not much) and awakened to the world around me. We need people, as many as possible to shout their truths to the world. The faster we can spread knowledge of the change that’s ahead, the faster we can all change the way we think. The very fabric of space changes and is facilitated into varying states by consciousness itself.

The goals of keeping constant vigilance in the face of challenges, a feeling of progressive individual empowerment, and a belief that all things are possible led me to the goal of changing myself for the better. This changing is focused upon the idea of refinement. Refinement, meaning that through some process a things is allowed to become some other thing, that over time I can shape and mold myself so that whatever environment comes my way, I am able to response in a fashion that allows for a high probability of success. To fully understand the refinement process, you have to start with the notion, that at the onset, the object of concern is not pure. I am the object of concern and you are the object of concern, and since we are the thing that's going through changes, so is humanity in the grander scheme of things. As purity develops in my life, purpose, goals, and thoughts, I will eventually develop a way to change my environment directly to better suit my needs, and or desires, given any set of circumstances.
